JayCut Video Editor (Version 2.1)

September 4, 2010

Dear JayCut users,

It’s with great pride and joy we can announce that a new upgraded version of the JayCut editor is about to be released. It’s been a couple of months now since we launched Version 2.0 which was well received by both business and community users. Many of you have been really helpful providing us with feedback and general suggestions for new functionality and improvements. For this we are very grateful and would like to thank you by providing you with an even better version of the world’s premiere online video editor.

Some of the new features have never before been seen in an online video editor and has until now only been available in traditional desktop video editing software. Changes have also been made to make the editor even more intuitive and easy to learn.

More info about the new features will be released very soon along with the exact release date.

The new version will of course be available as a white label solution for our business customers.

(More info about licensing the editor can be found here.)

We look forward to continue providing you with the world´s premier online video editor even in the future.

Best regards,

The JayCut Team

At some point int the post production process, the Social Filmmaker will need to start editing and compositing. One of the challenges in this phase is the software; more precisely, the cost of video editing packages like FCP and Adobe. While these post systems are top of the line, their top line prices and limited support for social computing (more so for FCP) are challenging, so we need to look for alternatives. Jaycut could become the editing package of choice for the Social Filmmaker.

Howdy!

I've really been enjoying using Jay Cut, but I have a couple questions:

1. How can I delete media from the library?
2. How can I delete videos from the "My JayCut" page????? I created several videos today, and chose the publish to PC option, and, though it did email me the link to download the videos, they are all on my profile, and publicly, and I seriously need them to stay private, as they are part of a business my family is doing......

Thanks!

I am also having issues with uploaded videos playing at a faster speed. How can this be corrected?

Is anyone else having problems with videos? The ones I imported are in fast motion. Are there any better sites for videos where they are normal speed?

Great website - been recommending it to all and sundry.
I have resorted to having separate accounts for my different projects - work and home movies don't get mixed up now. However, a delete button, or folders, would be helpful.

Hellloooo, is anyone out there?

Thank you JayCut team for all of your efforts.

I am Denrep, a very novice video editor with a few clips posted on JayCut:
http://jaycut.com/users/denrep.

I'm interested in seeing the work of other JayCut posters, however, I don't see any way to interact with others, or to see their work.

Is there a way to browse JayCut clips?

Thanks

Comment by dannyboyoffice@yahoo.com 2010-06-30 04:45

hi

1. how do I delete pics and vids that uploaded to Jaycut?
2. how do I combine several videos into ONE video. Instead of working on one hugh project, I can do several five minutes videos then combine all of them on one project. I tried but the speed was very very fast. please advise, thank you

3. after I move a 20 minute video clip from the middle to the end, how do I close the gap?
thank you, danny from austin texas

Thank you all for the very insightful input you all have been providing in these comments. Let me assure you that we are working very hard to be able to meet your wishes and I truly believe you won't be disappointed when the new version is released. Once again thank you very much.

I'm really enjoying this stuff! Any chance a future release will include the ability to speed up / slow down clips and/or play them backwards?

Hey Guys...

Looking forward to version 2.1 getting rolled out.
Just a quick question. Will the new version be able to delete media that has been uploaded into your library. As with each new video you create. You still have all your media from old projects still hanging in your library that clutter things up.

But i so love JuyCut. Best thing out and so much fun to use.

Thanks.

Mark.

I agree with essencejungles request above..transparent png would be a huge feature...Also, I was curious if Jaycut is considering the creation of a "Simple Editor" type function? I love the existing editor, but for a less sophisticated market, it would be great to have a "dumbed down" version.

Just some food for thought. Keep up the great work!

Wow! It Is Realy Great News!
- Question: How about function 'transparency enabled' for example, in *.png images uploaded to a user custom images library.
- I was great and useful, if Jay Cut start to enable transparent-type of images, like *.png in a user timeline video.

Thank You team for Realu Awesome online product Jay Cut.
- Its Best!
